Esmeralda

When the emerald
meets the Cattleya orchid.

In Spanish, esmeralda means emerald. In Colombia it is far more than a word: from its mountains, in Muzo, in Chivor, in the lands of Boyacá, come the most sought after emeralds in the world, of a green so deep it is said to be alive. Giving this name to our second collection meant naming the most precious thing Colombia holds.

An emerald forms in the dark, at the heart of the rock, far from every gaze. The Maison conceives its bags the same way: a calm, composed exterior, and within, what truly has value. Until now, Colombia hid in the lining. With Esmeralda, it rises to the surface. For the first time, the green of the stone dresses the leather, and on opening blooms the violet of the Cattleya, Colombia's national orchid and the emblem of the Maison. The stone outside, the flower within.

No bag carries a reference number. Each one bears a first name, the kind you hear in the kitchens of Medellín or on the squares of Cartagena: Esperanza, Santiago, Corina, Amalia, Lucía. Each explores a nuance of the same stone, from the boldest green to the palest mist. And at the centre of them all, Esmeralda, the great travel bag, named after an abuela no one forgets.

Designed in Paris by Ivan Hoyos and made in carefully chosen workshops in Portugal, France, Spain and Italy, the collection was unveiled on 28 September 2026 at the Maison's runway show at the Mairie of the 16th arrondissement in Paris.

France gives the form.
Colombia gives the colour.
